Description

Azienda Agricola Solidea presents Ilios Terre Siciliane IGT, a Sicilian white wine made from 100% Zibibbo grapes grown on the island of Pantelleria. This wine, with an alcohol content of 13.5%, is an example of Sicilian craftsmanship and winemaking tradition. The vines grow on sandy volcanic soil, which gives the wine a unique minerality. The grapes are harvested by hand, selecting bunches with varying degrees of ripeness to ensure a perfect balance between sugars and acidity. After destemming and crushing, the grapes are gently pressed, followed by alcoholic fermentation with only indigenous yeasts. This process preserves and enhances the typical aromas and flavors of the Zibibbo grape. Aged first in stainless steel and then in the bottle, to ensure greater complexity and finesse. Ilios is particularly suitable as an accompaniment to appetizers and dishes based on fish, shellfish, and white meats. The ideal serving temperature is between 8 and 10°C, to best enhance its organoleptic characteristics. This wine represents a sensory journey through the flavors and aromas of Sicily, offering a unique and authentic experience.

Azienda Agricola Solidea

The Azienda Agricola Solidea was established in 1998 from Giacomo's desire to carry on a family wine tradition that began with his grandfather in the early twentieth century. In fact, after completing his studies in Viticulture and Enology, Giacomo decided to put to good use and develop his passion for wine, investing all the technical heritage accumulated over the years. The company has a family character and is the only winery on the island where the owner is also the technician. Indeed, Giacomo directly oversees the various production stages, from managing the owned vineyard to the subsequent phase of wine-making of the harvested grapes and bottling of the produced wines. His wife, Solidea, to whom the husband dedicated the company, mainly takes care of the commercial part. Recently, a valuable help has been added to the company, their son Fabio, who has completed his specialization studies in Viticulture and Enology.
