Description

Benanti Etna Bianco is a highly prized Sicilian wine, produced exclusively from 100% Carricante grapes. This DOC white wine comes from the southeastern slope of Mount Etna, an area renowned for its high-quality viticulture. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, Benanti Etna Bianco stands out for its freshness and complexity. The soil in which the vines grow is composed of sand and stony lava debris, particularly rich in minerals, which give the wine a unique minerality. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel for 15 days at a controlled temperature, followed by several months of aging in stainless steel on the fine lees. This vinification process preserves the wine's freshness and aromatics. Benanti Etna Bianco is ideal with pasta dishes with vegetable sauce, seafood risotto, steamed fish and shellfish, and grilled white meats and fish. It also pairs perfectly with vegetables, fish, and fresh cheeses, as well as shellfish. The recommended serving temperature is between 8 and 10°C, to best enhance its organoleptic characteristics. This wine represents an excellence of Sicilian viticulture, capable of fully expressing Etna's unique terroir.

Benanti

Benanti. The high profile of Etna. Benanti means respect for all the specific viticultural vocations of Etna. The volcano and its terroir indeed present a significant heterogeneity, which makes each slope or area particularly suitable for one grape variety rather than another. Etna is over 3000 meters high: its slopes present substantial differences for viticultural activity, varying in exposure, temperature range, altitude, soil, brightness, rainfall, ventilation, influence of the sea, cultivation system. Benanti is the only Etna winery present on every side of the DOC. Typicality, elegance, character, longevity: this is what we seek. Our team is made up of Etna women and men, we cultivate only native varieties, we follow organic practices, we use only indigenous yeasts selected by us in the vineyard, we work with skill and thirty years of experience to preserve and enhance the link between territory and wine. Authentic wines, wines to remember.
