Description

Curatolo Arini Gagliardetta Sicilia DOC is a Sicilian white wine made from 100% Zibibbo grapes, sourced from the renowned Marsala region of Sicily, Italy. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, this wine stands out for its unique character and aromatic notes. The grapes grow on clay and sandy soils, which give the wine a distinctive minerality and freshness. After destemming and cold maceration at temperatures between 6 and 8°C for 36 hours, the grapes are gently pressed. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 16°C in stainless steel tanks for 20 days. The wine is then aged "sur lies" for 30 days before bottling, a process that contributes to the complexity and depth of flavor. Curatolo Arini Gagliardetta is a versatile wine, ideal for pairing with sushi and sashimi, oysters, and tuna bottarga. It also pairs perfectly with appetizers, fish, shellfish, and molluscs. To fully appreciate its qualities, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 8 and 10°C. This wine embodies the essence of Sicilian winemaking tradition, offering a refined and authentic tasting experience.

Curatolo Arini

In the land of sun and wind, we carry on a family tradition. Since 1875, our wines tell a story of a Sicily full of light, precious vines, daily commitment, patience, and dedication. Surrounded by the salt of the Naturale Reserve of Stagnone and soaked in sun, the tuff walls are discreet witnesses to distant stories passed down from generations: stories of passion, entrepreneurial vision, knowledge and respect for the territory. In 1875, Vito Curatolo decided to build a winery in the middle of his vineyards to follow his dream of producing Marsala wine. The company's name was born from the founder's desire to combine his surname, Curatolo, with that of his mother, Arini. Today, after 5 generations, Vito's dream is carried on with the same passion by his direct descendants Riccardo and Alexandra, supported by their respective parents Roberto and Sergio, proud to be the oldest Marsala producing company still managed by the founder's family.
