Description

Torre Mora Scalunera Etna Bianco is a Sicilian wine of great elegance and complexity. This Etna Bianco DOC is made from 100% Carricante grapes, grown on the northern slopes of Etna. The wine has an alcohol content of 12.5% and meets organic production criteria. The volcanic soil gives the wine a unique and distinctive minerality. Once harvested, the grapes are cooled with carbonic ice to preserve their freshness and aromas. Subsequently, they are soft-pressed and fermented at a controlled temperature for 15 days. Aged in stainless steel, with a 3-month lees aging period, which helps develop a complex structure and a pleasant creaminess. Torre Mora Scalunera Etna Bianco is ideal with fish and shellfish dishes, enhancing the marine flavors with its freshness and minerality. Serve at 8-10°C to fully appreciate its sensory characteristics. This wine represents an excellence of Sicilian viticulture, capable of expressing the Etna territory through every sip.

Torre Mora

Torre Mora embraces the flanks of Etna, in a breathtaking scenery that delights the eye and the palate. The slopes of the Sicilian volcano offer a unique territory for viticulture, due to the volcanic matrix of the soil, the altitude of 600-700 meters s.l.m. and a significant temperature range between day and night. The absolute prince is the Nerello Mascalese, which together with the Nerello Cappuccio contributes to create the delicious Etna Rosso DOC. The other main actor is the Carricante, a white grape variety, which gives its freshness to the Etna Bianco DOC. Torre Mora is a small estate dedicated to organic and sustainable viticulture, to the choice of traditional methods, to the typicality of the grape variety and to the culture of the territory. The two vineyards of the property are located respectively in the Contrada Dafara Galluzzo in Rovittello and in the Contrada Alboretto Chiuse del Signore, municipality of Linguaglossa.
