This Etna Bianco DOC is made from 100% Carricante grapes, a native variety that gives the wine a unique personality. Etna's volcanic terroir gives this wine a distinctive minerality, enhanced by a careful winemaking process that respects local traditions. The bunches are partially destemmed and lightly pressed, using only the free-run must. The skins are separated in the 0-bar press and the must is cold-clarified statically, then fermented at a controlled temperature of 13-15ºC for at least 10 days. Aged for 4 months in stainless steel and in 500-liter tonneaux of lightly toasted French oak, keeping the fine lees in suspension to enrich the wine's aromatic profile. The wine then ages in bottle for 15-18 months, developing a complexity and depth of flavor that make it ideal for pairing with aperitifs, shellfish, crustaceans, fish, and fresh cheeses. The recommended serving temperature is between 8 and 10°C, to best enhance its sensory characteristics. Description

Tenute Bosco Etna Bianco Vico is a Sicilian white wine of great elegance and complexity, produced on the northern slopes of Etna. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, Tenute Bosco Etna Bianco Vico is a balanced and versatile wine, perfect for those seeking an authentic and refined winemaking experience.

Tenute Bosco

The landscape is the archaic one of Etna. The Bosco Estates extend in the two districts of Piano dei Daini in Solicchiata and Santo Spirito in Passopisciaro, at 700 meters above sea level, for a total vineyard area of about 10 hectares. Of these - about 4 hectares - are vineyards cultivated as small trees, rootstock and planted in the pre-phylloxera era, for over 120 years. The history of the Solicchiata estate is already told in 1669 in the documents of Abbot Coniglio of Castiglione, who describes it as areas of vineyards and wine presses. In 2010, the recovery of the estates began thanks to the work of Sofia Bosco and her husband, who made them the places of their passion and their art: the rediscovery of traditions and respect for the territory, for the production of quality indigenous wines.
