This Etna Bianco DOC is made from 100% Carricante grapes, a native grape variety that grows on the northern slopes of Etna. The production area, characterized by volcanic soils, gives the wine a unique and distinctive minerality. Vinification involves soft pressing of the grapes, followed by static decantation and racking. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 18°-20°C, ensuring the preservation of the fresh and fruity aromas. The wine then ages on the fine lees for four months in stainless steel before being bottled. The result is a white wine of great finesse, with an aromatic bouquet that ranges from floral notes to hints of citrus and white fruit. On the palate, it is fresh and savory, with a good structure and a lingering finish. Cusumano Altamora Etna Bianco is ideal with appetizers, fish dishes, shellfish, and molluscs. It is best served at 8-10°C to fully appreciate its aromas. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, this wine perfectly expresses the Sicilian terroir and Etna's winemaking tradition.
