Description

Donnafugata Tancredi Dolce&Gabbana Terre Siciliane IGT is a highly prestigious Sicilian wine, the result of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon , Nero d'Avola, Tannat, and other native red grapes. Produced in the renowned Contessa Entellina area, this red wine represents Sicily's winemaking excellence. With an alcohol content of 13.5%, it stands out for its complexity and depth. The vineyards grow on clay-loam soils with a sub-alkaline reaction, which give the wine a unique and well-balanced structure. Upon arrival at the winery, the bunches are further selected on a vibrating table, and then the berries are selected with a state-of-the-art destemmer, capable of discarding green and overripe grapes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with maceration on the skins for approximately 14 days at a controlled temperature of 28°-30°C. After fermentation, the wine ages for 14 months in oak and at least 22 months in bottle before being released. This lengthy refinement process helps develop a complex aromatic bouquet and a well-defined tannic structure. Donnafugata Tancredi Dolce&Gabbana is ideal with roasts, braised meats, game, and mature cheeses. It also pairs perfectly with red meats and game, enhancing the intense, robust flavors of these dishes. The recommended serving temperature is between 14° and 18°C, to allow the wine to fully express all its organoleptic characteristics. The Donnafugata winery adheres to sustainable and innovative practices, guaranteeing a high-quality and environmentally friendly product. This wine represents not only an example of winemaking excellence, but also a symbol of Sicilian tradition and innovation.
