In the second half of the 19th century, Don Ignazio planted the first vineyard, certain that this area on the slopes of the hill that the Arabs called 'musìta', because there was an ancient mosque, was among the most suitable in western Sicily. History and innovation merge on fifty hectares of vineyard, among the hilly territories of Salemi at an altitude of 500 meters. The vineyard area of the company includes about two hundred hectares, mainly on the hilly lands of the territory of Salemi, with an average altitude of five hundred meters above sea level. Of the total hectares, some are directly produced, others are indirectly produced. The latter falls under the "partner in the vineyard" project, which involves the involvement of Sicilian winegrowers in the application, under our guidance and supervision, of the quality protocol Musita.
