Description

Generazione Alessandro Trainara's Etna Bianco is a highly prized Sicilian wine, part of the Etna Bianco DOC appellation. This wine is made from 90% Carricante grapes and 10% Catarratto grapes, sourced from the northern slopes of Etna. This white wine perfectly represents Sicily's winemaking tradition, with an alcohol content of 12.5%. The volcanic soil on which the vines grow gives the wine a unique and distinctive minerality. Vinification involves destemming and soft pressing of the grapes, followed by alcoholic fermentation for approximately 12 days in truncated cone-shaped stainless steel vats. During fermentation, the cap of the pomace is broken daily by punching down. The wine then ages for 12 months in French oak tonneaux, with 30% of the wine maturing in stainless steel. After aging in wood and steel, the wine rests for a further 6 months in bottle before being released for sale. Generazione Alessandro Trainara Etna Bianco is a versatile wine, ideal for pairing with fish and white meat dishes. The recommended serving temperature is 8-10°C (46-50°F) to best enhance its sensory characteristics. This wine represents a pinnacle of Sicilian winemaking, perfectly expressing Etna's unique terroir.

Generazione Alessandro

We are the fourth generation of a family of winemakers. Three cousins grown up among our fathers' vineyards. A passion for our land and wine that has driven us to specialize and carry on an ambitious project on Etna, to create wines with a strong identity. The soil shaped by volcanic eruptions; a varied microclimate that designs deeply different environments; a centuries-old winemaking tradition that still preserves varieties of ancient cultivation. Etna, with its extraordinary biodiversity, is the ideal place to produce wines rich in personality and character. The presence of several vineyards in different positions allows us to tell the story of these places and the microclimatic and geomorphological variations that characterize the territory through our wines.
