My story has distant origins. It has roots that delve into the pursuit of quality and the constant desire to innovate, a combination that has characterized the commitment and passion of my family for wine, in the land where I was born: Sicily. My father, "Ciccio" Martinico, passed on his experience and his passion to me, pushing me to look beyond the tip of my nose; he encouraged me to study and practice the profession of winemaker with rigor and dedication, teaching me the attitude to "sniff out" everything new that could enrich my knowledge. I found myself, thus, refining my training among the evocative Langhe of Piedmont and in the legendary French land of the Medoc, right there, where Bordeaux is born, to then leave the old continent and fly to South America, to discover the wines of Chile and the Argentine province of Mendoza. Now, after thousands of kilometers spent among the vineyards, twenty-three harvests crowned with awards and recognitions obtained from the companies with which I have collaborated over the years, I felt the need to dedicate my time to the history of my family, to return to the origins. This is how the Martinico&Figli brand comes back to life. A look that caresses the past to decisively aim for the future. My mission is to continue to invest in the pursuit of the quality of wines, to bring out their peculiar territorial expression... as it has always been in the philosophy of my family.
