Tenuta delle Terre Nere

The property is located on the northern slopes of Etna, within the hilly belt that extends between Solicchiata and Randazzo, historically the area of choice for great red wines throughout the Etna territory. The estate is composed of about 45 hectares fragmented into 29 plots in nine districts. All the owned vineyards located on the northern slope of Etna are in the municipalities of Castiglione di Sicilia and Randazzo. More precisely between 600 and 900 meters s.l.m. in the hilly belt that extends between the hamlet of Solicchiata and Randazzo, traditionally recognized as the prime area for Nerello Mascalese. If Etna is to be considered the "Burgundy of the Mediterranean", this hilly belt would certainly equate to its "Côte d'Or".
