Description

Girolamo Russo Etna Rosato is a Sicilian wine of great elegance and freshness. This Etna Rosato DOC is made from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes, a native grape that best expresses the unique characteristics of Etna's terroir. The vineyards are located on the volcano's northern slope, an area particularly suited to viticulture thanks to the volcanic soil that gives the wine a distinctive minerality. Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts, a process that preserves the authenticity of the terroir, and includes a brief maceration on the skins to extract the desired color and aromas. The wine ages for 6 months in stainless steel, a method that maintains the rosé's freshness and vivacity. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, this wine presents a pale pink color and an aromatic bouquet that ranges from fresh red fruits to delicate flowers, with mineral notes reminiscent of the volcanic soil. On the palate, Girolamo Russo Etna Rosato is fresh and vibrant, with a good acidity that makes it particularly suitable for pairing with appetizers and fish dishes. The ideal serving temperature is between 10 and 12°C, to best enhance its sensory characteristics. This wine is a perfect expression of the Sicilian terroir, combining tradition and innovation in a sip that speaks of the history and passion of its producers. Perfect for a summer aperitif or a fish-based dinner, Girolamo Russo Etna Rosato is a wine that never disappoints, capable of conquering even the most discerning palates with its authenticity and refinement.

Girolamo Russo

Making wine on Etna is an act of love, intimate and profound. And endless. Love for the places of our adulthood. Love for a land that nourishes and does not ask, that holds and does not let go and that makes everything grow that wants to stay. Harsh land of lava that does not calm down, land of magma that flows and opens and faints and tired seeks peace and becomes a stone monster and a lunar landscape that carries within it the memory of fire. We are made of the same substance as this land, we and that wine that resembles us, as if we had generated it, as if we were the fathers and not the sons: wine drunk with sun and light and the chorus of the wind in the valley, wine that has the breath of the volcano, smoke and ash together, and juicy and fragrant fruit that melts soft and surrendered, and slow and gentle caresses the senses, pregnant and delicate juice of pulp and lively and full, delight of aromas and intense and discreet scents, patient wine that lets itself be unveiled slowly and that the strong temper reserves for those who know that the time of the earth is sacred.
