Description

Antonio Gerardi I Pupazzi Terre Siciliane IGT is a refreshing Sicilian sparkling white wine, made with 85% Inzolia and 15% Zibibbo from the renowned Contessa Entellina area. This wine embodies the essence of Sicily, with an alcohol content of 12.5%. The calcareous marl soil on which the vines grow makes the wine very drinkable. Vinification occurs through: an initial spontaneous fermentation without any temperature control in fiberglass tanks, followed by aging in fiberglass tanks for eight months without filtration; spontaneous secondary fermentation in the bottle with the addition of fresh must from the same grapes (frozen at harvest), followed by eight months of aging in the bottle. Antonio Gerardi I Pupazzi is ideal with even elaborate fish dishes and fresh cheeses. The recommended serving temperature is between 8 and 10°C, to best enhance its sensory characteristics. This wine stands out for its deep straw yellow color. On the nose, it displays good intensity, with notes of aromatic herbs typical of the Mediterranean scrub, along with citrus notes of citron and grapefruit. On the palate, it is characterized by a pleasant smoothness balanced by acidity and a high level of flavor, with a long finish. Antonio Gerardi Terre Siciliane IGT is a wine that recounts the history and passion of Sicilian viticulture, a true oenological gem that will captivate even the most discerning palates.

Antonio Gerardi

Serenity, freshness, carefreeness, are the feelings I experienced as a child, while accompanying my grandfather along the rows of our property. Becoming a winemaker was not just a choice, but a legacy that, every day, I live and relive in respect of nature.
